The MCA Winter Meeting isn’t all work and no play. Whether you want to get moving, make new connections, or kick back and relax, we’ve got you covered! These activities are your chance to explore, unwind, and enjoy the vibe—with MCA colleagues or on your own.

Attendee Breakfast

Breakfast is included in your registration fee, so join us each morning to kick off the day with a good meal and great company. This is a great opportunity for networking as you chat over your meal or at the coffee station.

Networking Lunch

11:30 am-12:45 pm Tuesday, January 13

Included in your registration, this lunch gives you an opportunity to connect with other attendees to renew friendships and forge new business relationships. Attendees appreciate time to meet key people from throughout the industry so there won’t be programming to interrupt your business talks during this meal.

Welcome Reception with Guests

5-6:30 pm Tuesday, January 13

This special event is included in your meeting registration. Bring along any guests who are joining you in San Antonio and join us to unwind and chat after the first full day of the Winter Meeting.

Women in Metal Construction Networking Dinner

6:30-8 pm Tuesday, January 13

Connect, share, and celebrate at the Women in Metal Construction dinner—an event spotlighting women in the industry. Everyone is welcome to attend. There is an additional fee to attend this event; sign up when you register for the meeting.

 

Golf Outing at Hill Country Golf Club

Noon-5 pm Wednesday, January 14

Join your fellow MCA golfers for 18 holes of friendly competition at the scenic Hill Country Golf Club. This optional-event registration includes greens fees, golf carts, lunch, prizes, plus a $25 donation to MCA’s Scholarship Program.

Sprawling over 200 acres, the Hill Country Golf Club was designed by Arthur Hills and Associates to capture the beauty and landscape of the Texas Hill Country. Located at our host hotel, Hill Country Golf Club has been named Texas’ Best Golf Course by World Golf Awards and Best Golf Resort by Smart Meetings Magazine.

Briscoe Western Art Museum Tour

Noon-3:30 pm Wednesday, January 14

Discover the art, history, and culture of the American West at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. Located in a beautifully restored Art Deco building—once a public library—the museum’s collection highlights Western landscapes, Native American life, cowboy traditions, and Spanish influence.

This optional event’s registration fee includes transportation to and from the hotel, a guided museum tour, and lunch. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore nearby attractions such as the Riverwalk and The Alamo, both within walking distance.

Awards Reception & Dinner with Guests

Dinner: 7:15-9:30 pm Wednesday, January 14

Join us for drinks, dinner, and a celebration of some of the MCA members who help make our industry great! Sip and mingle during the reception, then sit down to enjoy dinner as we put the spotlight on the winners of our golf outing and the recipients of MCA’s Bush and Swaney service awards. This celebration is included in your registration fee; just make sure you indicate you’ll attend when you register. Spend quality time with your industry colleagues, and feel free to bring a guest.

  • The Alamo: Experience Texas history at this iconic landmark featuring preserved buildings, artifacts, immersive exhibits, and tranquil gardens. Plan for 30–60 minutes to tour the grounds.
  • The San Antonio River Walk: Stroll sections of this vibrant 15-mile stretch of shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions, including access to the San Antonio Missions, along the river.
  • San Antonio Missions National Historical Park: The only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas, this national park features four missions from the early 1700s.
