The intent of this Technical Bulletin is to educate the industry concerning good installation techniques that should be followed when installing lightning protection systems involving metal construction.
In view of the many variables that contribute to lightning risk, it may be prudent to consider lightning protection.
A lightning protection system provides for a continuous conductor from earth to sky (and vice versa) so that the current is directed in a preferred path, thereby reducing the risk to buildings and human life.
